In 2001, Core Pacific Group and Cinemark International L.L.C in the U.S. founded “Cinemark” in Taiwan and established Yangzhou Cinemark in Mainland China in 2007. As of 2015, “Cinemark” has owned Living Mall Cinemark, Dream Mall Cinemark, and Cinema7 in Ximending as well as Yangzhou Cinemark and Kunming Cinemark in Mainland China. In the future, the company will actively expand the film industry in Mainland China and foreign countries to provide the audience in Asia the best visual and audio feast.

Sheen Chuen-Chi Foundation

Born in Zhaoan, Fujian Province, Founder Sheen Chuen-Chi originally engaged in education. When the war started, he joined the army and was sent to Taiwan after Taiwan was restored. After retiring from the military, he gained success in the business and especially founded the foundation to contribute the society. After Sheen Chuen-Chi passed away, his son Sheen, Ching-Jing succeeded the behest and made the foundation become the pioneer of professional non-profit organization engaging in cross-strait cultural exchanges in Taiwan. In an early stage, the foundation supported a Taiwanese TV series “Ba Qian Li Lu Yun He Yue”, which brought about a wide influence on Chinese community around the world and laid a solid foundation on subsequent exchanges.

In past years, the foundation has participated in projects relating to public welfare, ranging from visual and performing arts, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, literature and community culture, to cultural industries. It is the only one private cross-strait cultural exchange foundation that has won “Excellent Group for Cross-strait Cultural Exchange Performance” awarded by Mainland Affairs Council, Republic of China (Taiwan) for eight years in a roll. It has also won “Wenxin Award” awarded by Council for Cultural Affairs (currently Ministry of Culture), Executive Yuan for several times.
