CPDC (China Petrochemical Development Corporation) was established on April 24, 1969. Once a State-Owned Enterprise under the supervision of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Executive Yuan, its stocks were listed at Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) in July 1991. In June 1994, CPDC was privatized.

CPDC’s three main production bases are in Miaoli county, Kaohsiung county and Kaohsiung City. With these three Petrochemical plants, CPDC is the main domestic supplier of upstream raw material for resin, engineering plastics and three major types of synthetic fibers including nylon 6 fiber, acrylic fiber and polyester fiber. Our main products are Caprolactam (CPL), Acrylonitrile (AN), Glacial Acetic Acid (GAC), Nylon Chip and Ammonium Sulfate (AS).

With the layout and construction of petrochemical production base in Jiangsu and Fujian Province, the cross-strait bases will form a supply chain with more competitive advantages.

Tsou Seen Chemical Industries Corporation

Founded in August 1998, Tsou Seen Chemical Industries Corporation is fully reinvested by China Petrochemical Development Corporation. The company mainly engages in production of feed-grade dicalcium phosphate and high-effect fertilizers, distribution of CPDC ammonium sulfate fertilizers, and outsourcing of nylon yarn and processed yarn business.

Founded in March 2013, Weiqiang International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is invested by China Petrochemical Building Corporation and mainly engages in wholesale and international trade of chemical materials and gaseous fuel.

Founded in December 2012, Weihua (Rudong) Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is reinvested by CPDC and mainly engages in wholesale of chemical materials and gaseous fuel and the chemical storage tanks at Oriental Port.

Founded in May 2013, Jiangsu Weiming New Material Co., Ltd. is invested by China Petrochemical Development Corporation and mainly engages in facilities development and construction relating to petrochemical projects.

Taivex Therapeutics Corporation

Founded in February 2010, Taivex Therapeutics Corporation is invested by China Petrochemical Development Corporation and expands the bio-tech service market. In 2011, the company worked with Development Center for Biotechnology to develop “Nek2/Hec1 inhibitors first-in-class anti-cancer medication”, which has awarded “Breakthrough Innovation of the Year” in the first National Industrial Innovation Award.
